DVD writer

I tried to post before, my DVD writer will not recognize CDs, it will copy on to a DVD also it acts like it is coping onto a CD but there is nothing there when its finished. I put a new mother board in I'm running XP home.

Try another brand of CD's...are you sure these are CDR's ? ?

yes they worked before I switched motherboards, everything else works fine

To rule out the burner going bad try it in another machine...
