    Vista Home Basic DVD R/W

    Has anyone had trouble installing software for DVD R/W on windows Vista Home Basic. The Drive is a LG DVD R/W
    Computers are my hobby and my income love working with computers

    Vista should not need drivers for any CD/DVD drives....are you sure it is jumpered correctly and showing up properly in Device Manager ? ?

    Agree.

    Cable Choice Master/Slave didn't seem to work for me: make sure your jumpers are set right.
    In general, the PEBKAC.  Whether it's now or was three weeks ago, the PEBKAC.
    Unsafe browsing and general computer / internet illiteracy IS the users problem.  Don't have sex if you don't know how to use a condom.
