    Vista Home Basic DVD R/W

    Has anyone had trouble installing software for DVD R/W on windows Vista Home Basic. The Drive is a LG DVD R/W

    Vista should not need drivers for any CD/DVD drives....are you sure it is jumpered correctly and showing up properly in Device Manager ? ?

    Agree.

    Cable Choice Master/Slave didn't seem to work for me: make sure your jumpers are set right.

    Cable select should only be used on those machines that are stubborn enough to insist on it...
