This line is going on at Hardware if you haven't read the post from beginning, "Any 1-No, . . ."

The technical features being researched for this in my case are as follows;

Repairing Wireless Network Connection.

I recommend starting by reading the networking FAQ (link in my signature).  Try setting up the network connection manually, comparing the settings on the working PCs with the settings on the non-working PC.  From a command prompt, "ipconfig /all" will give full details.  But check the FAQ first, to help you understand (and tell us) what's going wrong.

Please post the output of "ipconfig /all", from all machines on your LAN.

I also have a problem where my computer shows that it is connected to my wireless but explorer just doesn't detect it or work.  by comparing laptops one thing i notice is that when i select properties under wireless network connection status my working computer has 3 tabs including 1 "wireless networks" whereas the other only has 2 general and advanced? I've checked for firewall issues etc? anyideas would be awesome

    Basically, its the same problem being discussed. The wireless card has established a radio link to the router but has not acquired an IP address from the router. Do as Rob said and post the ipconfig from each computer. If I were a betting man, I would bet the machine that does not connect to the internet has an IP of 169.xxx.xxx.xxx

    Start-->All Programs-->Accessories-->Command Prompt

    Enter: ipconfig /all

    Cut and paste the results.
