Java
« on: February 27, 2007, 01:48:49 PM »
Hey guys.
Is there any way to stop Java slowing down my system?
Any time I have to load Java in my browser (Firefox 2.0.0.2) it really slows down whilst loading.
It's also slow whilst I am on the page, and after I've finished using it I have to restart Firefox to get it back to normal speed.
Using the latest Java version.
Any way to avoid this?
Or am I stuck with it?
If you need more info I'll try to provide it.
Thanks in advance.
Calum.

Well, I am not to sure as to why Java would be that slow, but I do know that Java is a slow language. Name a few sites that are doing this.

hmm...I really don't know why that would happen, when I opened the chat program on your site, it's not really all that slow. It took about 4 sec. for me.

It takes maybe 10-15 seconds to load, then goes quite slow afterwards as well, like when I scroll.
It slows down Firefox too, like on other sites it goes slow when that's open.
This continues until I close Firefox and start it again.
I can't do anything whilst it is loading as well.
Thanks for your replies.
