Wireless Network Card Software
« on: March 01, 2007, 11:51:19 AM »
Hey

Im using Windows XP SP2 and I just recently formatted and Im using the same setup as before so I cant figure out what Im doing wrong, but basically if I use my Wireless Software I can connect to the network, and it sends packets, but recieves none (so it doesnt work). But if I turn Windows Wireless Zero Config on then it works fine. The problem is Wireless Zero Config is awful for games.
My network uses WEP encryption which Ive entered, so Im quite stuck.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

Goodness, how I hate wireless.  Anyway you can hardwire.  My daughter had major problems gaming with her wireless connection also - they all went away when we hardwired her room.

Wireless isn't great for games at the best of times.
I'm no network guru, but I'll help as I am able.
What wireless software is this?
Are you sure you have everything configured correctly?
Try disabling WEP and see if it makes a difference, you can always re-enable it.
Are the wireless devices on the same channel?
