installed new Gforce, PC freezes

i installed a new Gforce fx 5200 into my PC and now whenever i load games pc freezes completely..  all drivers have been installed correctly with no backround apps' running and onboard graphics card has been disabled.. my mother board is a MS 6340..
can antone help??
