Now I know I'm old...

I haven't seen Basic since the 80's...brings back memories of hours upon hours of coding.  I miss it...NOT!!!

I remember the days of using a Commodore 64 and typing in pages of code in order to play a game of Chess.  If the program failed initialization, or there were graphic problems...I remember spending hours just to debug it.  You have to realize...I was younger then and easily amused...

Oh, look!  A butterfly.... ;D

    Not batch
    Qbasic  :D
    I learned it from a book  :o
    Its quite easy
(Though, VERY outdated. I downloaded a abandonware version of the compiler from MS since you cant buy it anymore)

You don't need an abandonware version...

Funny... if you search for "free x alternative" (no quotes) on Google, you'll get all the software you'll ever need. :) Case in point:

      Free Nero alternative:
CDBurnerXP Pro - Free Burning Solution

      Free Visual Studio alternative:
      SharpDevelop2

      Free Microsoft Office alternative:
      OpenOffice

      Free Photoshop alternative:
      Paint.NET
      GIMP

      Free QuickTime alternative:
      QuickTime Alternative

      Enjoy the free stuff. :)

Batch is really easy to learn. I'm going to look at qbasic but i'm learning C++ now.
