I have called HP support for an answer and put several things to test.......................this one WORKS

Turning on Hibernation

Go to start and put in cmd, enter
When cmd shows at top of search screen,:
Right click and highlight “run as administrator”
When black screen comes up, type in:
Powercfg –hon ON

Check at start menu,,,,,,,,,,,,,,hibernation should be back on
