Installing trouble.
« on: April 09, 2007, 09:46:18 PM »
Just installed a clean copy of Windows and when I went to go to update half of the updates installed but stopped at a framework. I tried manually installing it but it just stays stopped on a certain file. I have the same trouble with installing the itunes player. Not sure if this has been answered but any ideas on how to fix this?

Is Service Pack 2 part of the installation?  I've found that sometimes if you don't have SP2 installed you will have problems.

What is the exact error message? What does a "clean copy of Windows" mean?

Is it the .net framework that it is hanging on by any chance ? ? ?

If so this is a fairly large file and it may not be hanging at all...
