CD no longer Autorun
« on: April 05, 2004, 09:07:47 PM »
I'm running XP Home and have 1 CD-RW/DVD combo drive and 1 DVD-RW. Both will not Autorun.  I also have 4 digital card readers that will not Autorun also. All worked in the past. They work fine if I browse the disk and run the program. I've checked the Registry settings as per MS Knowledge Base. All looks OK. Any Ideas??

Could it be as simple as:
clicking 'my computer'
then right-click 'properties' on each cd and card drive
click 'autoplay' tab
click 'set action to perform' dot
then click 'restore defaults'
or set each of the pull down items to prefered program? ???

Ah but for the simple things in life! :D Unfortunatly this is not one of them. I've tried this before but went ahead and tried it again. Same result :-/ :'(  NOT. I've also tried reloading XP. Any other suggestions??
