You Will Have To Install Motherboard Drivers. Be Certain They Are Detected By The BIOS As Well.

By The Way It Is Very Annoying When You Type Each Word With A Capital Letter. Unnecessary And Unlogical Too.

That Didn't Help Me At All, And The Criticizm Was Great To.
Talk About Anoying.

Did you install the proper motherboard drivers...?

Have you checked to see if the integrated periphals are enabled in the BIOS? Considering that this is an older mainboard, you may need to set certain jumpers..

Refer to the mainboard manual for troubleshooting.

Can't teach those who aren't willing to learn.. Americans...

It is a CTX  desktop, and I thought this was a place to get help, not slammed for typing skills or being an American.
I don't have any information on this computer, if I did I wouldn't need help on how to find it. If you do not have patience with newbies then please do not reply (RAPTOR)
Thanks Steve

sphenz.......When you are in your control panel ........in the system you should see a list of all the things which windows see as being installed.....you should have a small square in front of the name with a + sign in it ...
look down the list and see if you see anything that looks like sound or sound adapters  , or Display adapter
perhaps you could tell us exactly what it actually shows.

usually the onboard periphials include.....vid card , sound card , perhaps a modem .  Any other card would be installed in either PCI or ISA slots located in the lower part of the tower......
You didnt say if the monitor is working ok .
Please give us more information if you can .

If you don't know the answer, it isn't a dumb question.

I do have patience with newbies, I just donot have patience with people that cannot type properly and donot bother to correct theirselves.

Right click My Computer -> Properties -> Device Manager tab. From there you should be able to see what hardware is detected but not yet installed due to missing drivers..

Thanks dl65 for the kind answer, I will look and see and write back. If Raptor had taken time to notice in my last message I did correct myself, But some people prefer rudenss to kindness.

I merely pointed out  how annoying it is to read posts that are written with capital letters for each word... It's not even proper English, so why the *censored* did you do it?

Rather than amending your ways, you posted in the same manner again.

I doubt you even read what I said because your most arrogant nature won't allow you to.

You will have to try and identify the cards.  It cannot be done by remote control by us.  Pull the boards out and look at them.  If they are integrated on the motherboard, the motherboard will have some identifying markings silkscreened onto it.

At the very least, what is the CTX model number?

No trouble...no bother.  It's hard to help without a complete description.  Just pretend a blind person is standing next to you and you're trying to get him to help you.

Unfortunately, very little to be found.  This website may provide some useful information:  http://www.iw.net/~praxsis/ctx.html
