Hard Drive problem
« on: April 06, 2004, 09:09:53 AM »
I was on my PC last night and it froze so I shut it down and when I tried rebooting it, I got a error message that said "The hard drive can not be found"  I tried to troublshoot and I got this message, "A problem with the hard drive has been detected."  Then it would not start...

I have a Gateway PC with Windows ME.  I don't know a ton about computers, but I can usually fix them.  This time, I have no clue what to do.

Any ideas?

Andy

Did you try a win ME floppy boot disk, or try changing BIOS settings to boot from CD rom and try to recover with Win ME disk. ;)
