You just have to love microsoft for the simple weirdness of this "Vista feature"
Those who have recieved the Vista "Express" Upgrade from XP may have noticed that the installer will not allow you to enter a product key when booting from the disk and attempting to perform a clean install.
This is because the product key supplied is for "Upgrades" only. When you then boot the new install it'll ask you for a valid product key or will cease to function after 30 days.
However you dont have to upgrade from XP. If you then run a vista upgrade from within Vista it will allow you to use your upgrade key and activate with no problems. And you wont lose any settings or drivers that you set up prior to running to second install.
Interesting solution from the redmond boys...
