Problem with reinstalling Vista
« on: May 20, 2007, 01:49:25 AM »
Yeasterday I have bought a new notebook ( HP Pavilion dv6000) with windows vista in it already, without the cd. During the installation the power was cut off. When I turned the computer on again there was an error: the installation can not be finished. Please reboot the computer and reinstall Vista. But when I reboot nothing happens and the error appears again. What am I suppose to do? Is there any way to start the instalation again? I can't give it back to the shop as I bought it in another city.

I;m not sure i understand correctly...if the laptop came with Vista already why was it being installed ? ?
If the power is cut off to a laptop the battery should prevent data loss...

At any rate if it were mine i would be taking it back under warranty, even if it is in another city...
