The motherboard spec states that the AGP (video card) slot is AGP-4x, which is a 1.5 volt standard.

Your old card is a dual voltage AGP-2x card which will work on either 3.3 volt or 1.5 volt slots.

Your new card looks like an AGP-4x card which should work OK.

You have not answered my question about beeps at startup.

Normally, PCs emit one beep from the internal loudspeaker at boot time. If something is wrong, they can often signal this with a pattern of multiple beeps.

A PC which previously used to beep once, but now beeps three times (for example) and then goes dead, is trying to tell you something.

So is a PC which used to beep once, but now is completely silent.

    So, how about it?

and nothing comes up on the monitor? You don't see the BIOS boot up screen, you know, that says "Energy Star" and shows the memory test, etc?

Aha! in that case, the video card is almost certainly working.

Tell me, have you removed the old Nvidia card from Hardware Manager?

To be able to do that, start Windows in safe mode (press F8 at startup)
