Windows 98 Corrupt .dat files

My OS is win 98
All my .dat files are being opened with a Cstudio program. The program has never been installed or used on my pc. Checked Microsoft Site, the only thing even close was- win 3x regedit help.
Any suggestions? ???

run a spyweeper/ trojan/worm program....if this still does it come back..
