You would be better off to just buy a new computer. Trust me. I have read your posts.  ::)

I agree.
For the last time, listen to me, saint_hades.

You need a half height or low profile graphics card.
A normal size one will not fit in your case.
The motherboard is not the problem, it is the case and only the case.
Either buy a low profile card or a new case to get a full size card.
A new case will cause problems if your components are non-standard sizes.
If you have given your model correctly, it is a small form factor PC which is why a full size card will not fit.

Am I finally getting through to you here?

    I honestly have no idea.
Try Google to find them, but the best I could find is an X1550.
Low profile cards aren't meant for gaming, they have to produce little heat because of the small cases.
As for whether your components would fit, measure them and use Google to find out standard sizes.
Or email Dell, you should still get support from them.

If I was going to bye a new computer.
Could I take parts out of my computer and put them in the new one.
Like the RAM, and the Hard Drive.

If I did take out the hard drive and put it in a new computer, would I still have all my file's, and the programmes I've installed.

Would it be a good idea to try and make a PC, you know not bye it, but bye all the parts for it.

It usually works out cheaper and you can get exactly what you want.
But you need to have the know-how to do it - if you mess up it could be a lot of cash down the drain.

Depends on the rest of the components.
Your motherboard would need to have the right port for your HDD and the righ slots for your RAM, etc.

It would be better to do a fresh install if you change many components.
You could save your files on another drive, but not your programs or Windows itself.

Is there a way to easily transfer files from one computer to another. Thats cheap.
But, Bob's computer transfers all of his file's to Jim's and Jim transfer all of his file's to Bob.

Because my mum's computer is wide (HP) and I'm thinking of transferring my files to hers and her files to mien.
That's also why I wonted to swap component's, because my mum has 512 MB of RAM and I have 1GB.
She has 20GB hard drive, I have 120GB.
        32MB graphics's card, 256 (but that doesn't really matter)

You could useanother hard drive, but you can only transfer music, pictures, documents etc - not programs.
You could possibly format and swap the hard drives round, and the RAM and anything else you want in the HP, and then install Windows again on both PCs if you have the right disk and the right license, and then transfer your documents back onto each drive, but that would be very time-consuming.

            So

As I have said before I doubt that the current Dell motherboard will have the same screw positioning as an ordinary ATX board, and this thread is a perfect example of why they do that. They want to make you buy a completely new PC (Dell).

If the motherboard does match a M-/ATX case then the components should all fit, if it has sufficient 5 1/2" bays and the other one.
            System specs:
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 (up to 3.3 stock V and air)

            2x 1gB Corsair XMS2 DDR2-800
            Seagate Barracuda 320gB SATA
            Raidmax Ninja 918 (520W ATXV2.0 PSU)

Is there a form that tell's me about motherboards.

My dell has Xp media edition, and the HP has Xp home edition. Will all the files still transfer. I mean will the hard drive still work in the Hp, an visa versa.

But remember you will not be able to keep Windows or your programs - if you're switching a lot of components you will need to reinstall Windows on both PCs.

Will I be able to install XP media edition, on my new computer, or will I have to stick with Home edition.
Because, I had reinstall windows awhile a go, and it never asked for any serial or anything.
(same with my G3, and it wasn't even my OS X cd)

Then you got lucky...all this depends on what version was on each machine.
                OEM tied to the machine...
                Full retail----one machine period.
