plss help to my i pod!!

i have an i pod which has a 2 gb. and i put some songs into it but when i remove the i pod on pc and open it the ipod hangs..what can i do plss help me.. thnks!

Do you turn the IPod off before you play the song?

Do you safely remove your IPod?
