I don't know about a free version of Microsoft Word, but there is a free complete office suite called OpenOffice that is very similar (just not from Microsoft).

Or, if you just want a word processor, try AbiWord.

Same here.  Heh.  Is this like one of those ManBeef or BonzaiKitten sites?

Oh, and winnipegtwister, I suggest checking out AbiWord.  It just might suit your needs.

Yes it is serious. It's supported by Living Waters. Did you read what it said afterwards?

Back on topic... should Microsoft have free versions of older versions of Word somewhere?

I've read somewhere that Google also had a free office but I'm still searching for it.
Does some one know if there is one and so: Where?

Anyways, what makes you think the answer it gave is wrong?

Okay, I know this may be going off topic again, but is there any way to select multiple images in OpenOffice at the same time? I tried using Shift like in MS Office, but it didn't work.

It's due to be fixed soon as far as I can find out.

It has nothing to do with the answer.  If I believed in *censored*, I would surely agree that I'm going.  Of course, I would agree that most people are going...but that's beside the point.  I just wasn't sure if it was a joke site or not; kinda like the How To Tell If Your Teenager Is An Atheist site (anyone have a link?).  But I see that's not the case here, so I apologize.

You cannot legally download a copy of Microsoft Word, except for an old DOS version. Period.
