Well, success, sort of, I think, maybe. I got a DVDr/CDr combo for $65 and installed it. I also got some more CD's of a differrrent brand (did not have my usual brand) since I am was almost out due to all the messed up disks. I tried to burn with one of my last CD's from another brand and got the same result as before. I then tried one of the new brand CD's and it worked. I did try a second CD brand on the old burner but I hope I did not buy a new burner when all I needed was a 3rd brand CD. Oh well, thanks for the help Contrex.
