CH Profile Signatures
« on: June 04, 2007, 08:47:26 AM »
I have a question about using signatures in your profile, posts and threads.

I've configured my signature within my profile settings using the standard BBC format.

The image is not being displayed in my signatrue.  The first image I tried to use was 468x88 pixels and a file size of just over 8KB.  I figured this must've been too big so, I edited the image to a size of 319x60 and just over 4KB...still...no go.

Is my coding off?  Is the image still too large?  Are certain members/usergroups restricted from using images in their signatures?

I've PM'd Admin, but have had no response.

Thanks, in advance...

My image works fine.
What's the exact code you're using?

That's what I use too, and it works fine for me.
Following is my exact code for my signature.
Code: [Select]

Then, either my image is too large (doubtfully), or there are restrictions imposed.

That's very odd, I know of no restrictions other than the character limit.

I hate images in sigs that are much larger than an icon. So I take the liberty of blocking them.

Images in sigs don't bother me unless they are either massive in actual size, so they have a scroll bar, images that are a big file size so they take a long time to download, images that are inappropriate or advertising, or ones that move and annoy me.

Does that mean you blocked mine?
    It makes me sad . . .

    Calum...

    Like I said...it must be a restriction...

I just hope Admin sees the link at the bottom of the site to CH...know what I mean?

I had removed it previously, because...well you know.  Anyhoo...it's back...and will remain.

Yep! I block all images in sigs, and some avatars.

Hopefully it's something simple to sort, I really don't see what's up with that.
Good to see the CH logo back on your site for a number of reasons.

All that time and effort for some fool to block it . . . only joking, it took about 5 minutes and everyone has a right to choose what they look at.

I just tried posting the picture in my signature, but it's not showing up for me.  And Calum, yours isn't showing for me either (it showed up fine a minute ago).  Perhaps there's just some sort of fluke.

Is my normal sig showing now?
Because I removed the Saviour PC one.
