    How do i put music in to my iPod shuffle  if i dont have a dock???

    Uh... you maybe use the USB cable?

    If I can recall, the dock is just for charging.

      there is no space for the usb cable to go!

      What kind of iPod Shuffle do you have?  Mine plugs in directly to the USB port; no cable needed.  Can you tell us what model yours is?

      Correction:
      There is a transfer cable that you need.
      One end is a USB cable
      The other is a Mini-USB cable


      Okay, maybe not

      Mine doesn't use a cable, which is why I asked...


      However, I looked up info on the second generation models, which is probably what he has.  Looks like it needs to be connected to a dock that plugs into the headphone jack.  That being the case, I think the only solution is either buying a new dock or borrowing someone else's.
