missing word pad

okk..  i cant open any of my saved files.  the say that the path is unreconized.  i just upgraded from home to professional. and now all of my word pad documents are unopenable..  i am taking classes online and what i need to save from there, i cant open.. (because i dont have word pad..)  where did it go and can someone help me please???

Do you still have your XP-Pro CD? if so put it in click on Install optional windows components then, check mark Accessories and Utilities and press next. That should install them into Start/Accessories, it will give you wordpad and some other stuff like paint and calculator
