Remote Access
« on: November 12, 2004, 03:21:12 AM »
Hi
i have just tried running a remote program called VNC. on 2 computers. to get remote acces.

The problem i am having when i install this software, is my computer boots up really slow and takes a few minutes for my norton anti virus to kick in.

Does anyone know of a better version of VNC that doesnt do this. Or are there any other free remote software programs i could get of the net.

If you're using Win XP (you failed to mention the OS) then you can use the included Remote Access features.  I like Nortan PC Anywhere.

I am using windows xp Home and the other computer has windows 2000. Is it possible for me to use my remote on the xp computer or do both computers have to have XP before they can link up.

Whats Pc anywhere like, does it cause slow down at boot up.

fly.....I believe both machines should have Win XP for the remote access to function properly......but as Joleen
suggested ......PC Anywhere works great .

If you don't know the answer, it isn't a dumb question.
