I extracted files from Winrar to my desktop and now there are icons all over my windows desktop. How do I get rid of them. I tried deleting them and to no avail they just seem to bounce back, what can I do.

first we need more information. what OS? what file did you unzip? what did it contain? have you tried doing it in safe mode? what protection do you have on your computer?

 have you tried to uninstall the software using the windows uninstall software in Control panel,

 We really need a bit more info on the file you unzipped, your operating system etc?

if they are spyware or worm trojans,try some tools such as  ASquared or AVGantimalware/antispyware/antivirus should clear up any problems

copy these links into your browser then download and update each product before running  it is a good idea to run all of them one after the other in safe mode first, then again in normal running mode.
