Need help please

Hi

I run windows xp professional x64 edition, and a week back, for no apparent reason or due to some combination of keys pressed, the menu bar and status bar from all the windows folders have disappeared ! i cant manually click and go back, forward, one up or anything on a folder window. Luckily i have a mouse that incorporates the back and forward features on some extra buttons. Is there any way i can reset all the folders to get back the functionality. The present situation is really frustrating.
Any kind of help would be appreciated.

Open a folder.
In the top of the folder (where the bars should have been) right click and set a check mark next to 'Standard Buttons' and 'Address Bar'.
