But I'll try to help you here.
You OS is incorrect.(There are only 2 SP out there)
Go to start -> run and type "winver"
There you will see the correct OS. (I think it will be XP (home/professional) SP2.)
Did you try to update you CD-driver?
Go to start -> run and type "devmgmt.msc" this will get you to the device manager.
Go to Disk drives, right click at your disk drive and click update.
