PLEASE HELP WITH A BIG PC PROBLEM
« on: November 15, 2004, 12:15:55 PM »
i did a hard disc format and after that, reinstalled windows 2000 on my computer. however, there is no sound and the screen is also not clear. unfortunately i havn't got any disk for drivers to be installed back on the system and this PC is not one of the popular ones on the market, it was built by a friend sometime ago. i want to know if there is a way of helping me to fix this (basically i want to know if there is a way of checking the type of graphic, sound, modem, e.t.c. cards on the system so i can get the drivers from the internet at a cafe since i havn't got internet at home either.
thanks.

Go to start -> Run and type DXDiag.

You can try opening the case and looking for any markings on the cards and going to Driverguide.com
