Photshop CS to Photoshop 5

Is it possible to create something with Photoshop CS and then be able to open it with an older version of Photoshop, such as Photoshop 5?

As long as photoshop 5 recognises the format you should be able to swap between them

Agreed, but also be careful of relying on any newer features. Vector editing, for instance, is a feature I believe was only recently implemented.
