Sound problems
« on: November 21, 2004, 07:16:02 PM »
I have a problem with not being able to hear anything on my computer. The speakers are getting power but there is no sound coming out when I try to do something that requires sound. :-[  So if anyone can help me I will be very grateful. :)

rockinsox16...Did the sound on your pc ever work ? Have you checked to be sure your sound card is being seen . Do you have the correct drivers installed ? What operating system are you using ? Are the speakers plugged into the sound output jack(s) ? Has someone muted them in the master volume control console?

    please let us know

If you don't know the answer, it isn't a dumb question.

    • Install proper soundcard drivers
    • Ensure that all cables are connected properly
    • Go to Start -> Run -> Type DXdiag - Sound tab - tests
    • Provide us with more information
