    Hello Gents, I just brought this wireless router---NetGear WGR614 54 Mbps Wireless Router i need it so i can go online with my xbox 360 from my room. I have a cable modem. Is this the right one or should i have purchased this one NetGear MR814 802.11b Cable/DSL Wireless Router? Please adise.

      Either one should work just fine with your cable modem. The second one appears to only support the older and slower 802.11b wireless standard though, so I wouldn't recommend buying it.

        Thx. One more thing, i assume after setup my xbox will detect the router am i correct?

          It should.  If not, you will be able to manually configure it to get it working.
