Error message when viewing certain sites
« on: September 04, 2007, 09:54:05 AM »
I have a forum that I'm a staff member on and for the past week I haven't been able to view the forum. The message below comes up. At first I thought the server was down, but I went to Proboards.com and it said it was online then I e-mailed another staff member and she said she wasn't having any problems and wasn't aware of anyone else having any problems.

Today I discovered that a few of my favorites are displaying the same message. I am using the same computer right now so it's not my internet connection. I ran adaware to get rid of spyware and that didn't help either. I am currently running IE6 and it's the only browser I have on the computer. Anybody have any ideas as to why this is happening?

Have you recently added a firewall, hardware or software?  Also if you want to you could try Firefox to see if that makes a difference.

Also you should boot to safe mode and run your spyware and AV scans there.  Let us know if there are any improvements with changing the browser that you use.
