can see files in dos How to open?
« on: April 11, 2004, 02:04:32 AM »
I have reformatted my harddrive  and have put win 98 CD in
It is not responding to E: setup
so I have tried to look up the file from the DIR command

I am stuck I don't know how to choose the file and run it  from the DOS prompt
Can anyone please tell me how to do this ?
Thank you

E:\setup

is the correct command or is forgetting the backslash just a typo in your post?

Have you tried booting from the  Windows CD ?
You may have to change the boot sequence in your BIOS to do this.
