About Excel. urgent!!
« on: September 18, 2007, 06:39:15 AM »
Hello

Please help me to solve this:
---------------------------------------------------------
Add a formula to cell (D1) that workout the profit made by selling a Printer. (Delivery price is included with all purchases).

Unit Price  (A1) = 56.98

Average Delivery Price. (B1)  = 5.41

Sale Price. (C1) = 65.04

Profit (D1) = ????
----------------------------------------------------------
Is this answer correct?
=SUM(A1)-(C1+B1)

Thank you

Whew.  No offense, but your question reflects a lack of simple logic.  Let's rename Unit Price to Unit Cost, which is what it is.  So, obviously, you need to subtract the sum of unit cost + delivery cost from the sales price.  Therefore, D1 would be =C1-(A1+B1).

By the way, if you were thinking of majoring in accounting, I don't think it's the best choice for you.   ;)

Why do some younglings think this is a homework help site? lol.

Wouldn't mind it if it was a genuine query, but not when they are just trying to get the homework done without thinking for themselves.
