It must be your mobo, then...but
Try another keyboard, and mouse (one at a time). I doubt, it's gonna help, but what the heck?

Hi,

I'm late into this topic but some of your description sounds like a problem I had just recently with both my desktop and laptop.
Does the BIOS appear to execute? Could it be that as soon as the computer looks for a bootable drive it starts to have problems or does the BIOS not complete?

Apologies Broni,
My post was a question - I have fixed my systems by executing a boot sector repair from a floppy - I thought, if the BIOS was completing, that this may have been a boot sector issue.
