restore folders currupt

accidentally deleted my My pictures folder when i did a fresh install of windows,
 
restored the folder using a program called  "Restoration" everything in the folder was

copied back to the desktop, all filenames and folders are present but the pics are

unable to be viewed  any ideas on how to fix this ?  thanks

Why don't you go in your recycle bin and restore the folder?
Windows 8 and Windows 10 dual boot with two SSD's

either the files are corrupt or compressed but i can't view them no preview or thumbnails, cannot apply as wallpaper nothing .............gives me the jpg or bmp file type and the size of the file but it will not let me view the actual picture ?????????????????





Theres only 11,000 pic's in the file  2 years of collecting lol

What program are you trying to open them with. When you click File>Open, then you select a file, what happens? Nothing?

Sounds like the recovery program was able to rebuild the file listings but not much else.
You could also try Recuva...but no guarantees.
