When the game is over, the King and the pawn share the same box.

      G'day mate!
      How ya' going?

If you want real DOS on XP, you need a Windows 98/Windows ME startup disk.

        Thanks,
I have a windows 98 startup disc but until I learn a bit more I'll persevere with what I'm using.

I think, Command Prompt window is even better, then regular DOS to practice commands, because you can resize it, and it provides you with a scroll bar, so you can see everything, you want.

        There is a nice M$ page - Command-line reference A-Z:
        http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/ntcmds.mspx?mfr=true

I have shortcuts in a new toolbar I created in the System tray for, MS-Dos that opens in a full screen, cmd that opens in a Window and Qbasic that opens as a full screen.

I am content with this so I'll stick with it.
It's siesta time now, so adieu until tomorrow

If that black background is hard for your eyes (it is for mine), you can change it.
Click on that little icon in upper left corner, and click Properties to change it:

This happens when you you just attach your image to your post, using this board settings.
To implement an image inside your post, you have to upload the image to some web page, which allows posting images, post the image, right click on it, click on "Copy Image location", paste that link in your post, highlight it, and then click on THIS icon above:
