Help with loading???
« on: November 07, 2007, 03:56:38 PM »
Im having issues with battlefield 2142 yes AGAIN .

I can load the game up , i can choose a server ..... and then half way into loading the bar just stops moving , i can here the music and i can see the little mouse cursor moving . If i choose to end the program , with ctrl alt and del , it says its not responding.

.I have all my correct display drivers
.I have the latest patch .
.The game is installed correctly
.Punkbuster is installed and fully updated.
.I have also reinstalled it today .

I think its also worth mentioning , theres a certain folder in my battlefield 2142 cache , which shouldnt be there ...... within the file theres over 1,500 files , i tried to delete them but they keep coming back.

Any help ???

Ps.

For those who know , ive also sorted out my cpu issue , im running 3.20ghz and i have no high pitched nose any more .

Turned out it was the memory which was set incorrectly in bios .

Tony :)

I would say brilliant chris aka cbmatt would say normal .

Avg 7.5
Superantispyware
spywareblaster
trojan hunter
spybot search & destroy

I don't believe in using a different firewall i stick with windows , any other firewall i use causes hassle for myself when using utorrent or games like bf 2132

scanned with all programs accept spywareblaster every time a set time .

I hope, you're aware, that Windows firewall, while doing OK with inbound traffic, it fails almost every test, when it comes to outgoing traffic?
I use PC Tools firewall on Vista, and Comodo on Win 2K, and I never had any problems with torrents.
I wouldn't mind taking a look at your HJT log.

The only questionable entry is this:

Not really.
From what I understand ".cfx" files are some kind of macros, but I'm not a programmer, so maybe someone else will chime in here.
