    sound card driver
    « on: November 19, 2007, 01:55:11 PM »
Hi, ive recently re-formatted my hard drive (low level format) and upgraded my  windows xp to service pack 2. Now I get no sound because the computer doesnt recognise my sound card. I realise that I have to download and install a driver but I cant tell what soundcard I have as it is inbuilt into the computer hardware and hidden within the motherboard somewhere.
I have re-formatted before and solved this problem but I have forgotten how. The speakers I have are Mercury MS-440 if that is any help.

    Thanks
    Steve
