"not enough space" message
« on: November 19, 2007, 08:14:58 AM »
Good day, Running a Dell Dimension with 2 hard drives. W2K on 20G "C", newly formatted 6G D drive. Am attempting to install W98SE on D.
On startup, went into setup, boot order floppy, CD, Hard drive. Changed D to primary drive for install. (Doing this so I can play original versions of Quake & Doom)
Boots fine loading floppy files, reading CD. After scan for enough space to install, get message "not enough space". I used to know a work-around for this, but have forgotten.
Any help?
Tom

With Windows generally speaking the older OS needs to be installed first for things to operate properly...
I'd suggest backing up what you need from the Win2K install and starting over.
