What is the best free music software?
    « on: November 26, 2007, 11:41:11 PM »
I wanted to create some music on the computer but I don't know what program to use. I've tried like 13 already but they either have a 30 day limit or they you cant put in notes and make them sound like a piano. So im just wondering what good music making software is out there? but i do need one with piano sounds too...so yah thanxs in advance.

I have a friend that uses( Ares.) Have not had any problems with this site,But Be carefull some sites have alot of spyware like morpheus. If you uninstall Ares with add and remove, Make sure you go to your program files and delete It from there also.

I don't know about the piano sounds but, otherwise, Audacity may be the best music freeware you'll find.

Another vote for Audacity.  When it comes to freeware, that's pretty much your best bet.

lol no hes not Tai Sen...lol but he is right. It's more of a recording software you can't really make music with it by itself. so...i guess i gotta keep searching...i tried a shareware one called Orion Pro, whitch was good except the fact it didnt have piano sounds and it was only a trial version.

Not into it myself, but my kid uses this one.  It has the piano thing on it as well.

And I'm sure it's always free.

try out  the "FL studio" demo, is great and even in the "demo version you can render to mp3's   is really good software.and the folks there are really good at helping you out with your questions  Cakewalk, Reason, Adobe and others also have  "demo" versions.  As for "FL studio"  just goggle: "Image-Line" and go to their audio applications page then to "FL studio"  You'll be amazed at what you will be able to create!
