xprt6.dll

On certain programs that I try to access, I get the following: "This program has failed to start due to xprt6.dll not being found"  Reinstalling the program may correct the problem.  Also in the box above the statement it says "AOLExplorer.exe.
Can anyone help me correct this?

Do you have AIM installed?
If so, uninstall, reinstall.

 What does AIM have that effects xprt6.dll?Also what is best way to replace it(xprt6.dll.) Could removing a virus protection/firewall system have the same effect?Thanks in advance for any & all help.  ;)
