USB please please please help!
« on: December 02, 2007, 10:28:14 AM »
Well, I'm having a bit of a crisis!!
Basically, I had all these versions of different bits of my school coursework saved on my school network and on my USB, I got mixed up and, when taking files home to complete over the weekend i was in a hurry and copied across all the files from the network that were incomplete onto my USB over the versions that were complete and so now i have absolutely hours and hours of coursework disappeared!
does anyone have any advice other than to do all of the work over again? Is there some kind of recycling bin in the USB i can retrieve the files from if they were replaced or overwritten by the old versions?
Please help!!!!
xx

Hi izzysmith,

If you're using Windows XP, and you connected the USB drive (or network drive) to this computer, and you deleted files from it, and you haven't messed with your Recycle Bin settings, then the files should still be in your Recycle Bin if you haven't emptied it.
