to prevent ctfmon.exe from starting, because I still can see it:
- O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [ctfmon.exe] C:\WINDOWS\system32\ctfmon.exe

How is your computer doing overall?

After all these changes, you may want to run CCleaner again.

well i was and it says click change on the office program you are trying to disable but i dont know which one to do.

In the Currently installed programs list, click to select Microsoft Office XP product, where Office XP product is the name of the specific Office product being used.

i don't think so. well we do have trials but we haven't activated them so i guess they are installed. The computers actually running at a pretty normal speed. its kinda nice.

Go Start>Run, type in:
msconfig
Click OK.
Click Startup tab.
See, if ctfmon.exe is there. If so, uncheck it.
This is actually very minor issue, but it'd be nice to get rid of it.

well i when i tried it gave me an error and said i may have to be logged on as an admin  (i am) and i clicked ok and it closed and asked if i wanted to rrestart my computer.

when I turned my computer back on today the system config utility came up and said it was in diagnostic or selective mode and then the MSconfig itself poped up. should I check the box that says dont show this message again?
