Video and audio card slow in gaming

Also, crucial says, that you have:
Graphics Support:   AGP 4X
but HP site says:
AGP     No

This is confusing, so you may need to open your computer case, and see, if you have AGP slot. It's important, because AGP is faster, then PCI, so if you have that slot, it'd be better to get AGP type of video card.
See below what to look for:

I can see, your RAM was already changed by someone to PC3200 DDR SDRAM, so you'll want to buy same one, not as I stated before, PC2100.

And...now that we have gotten to the point of figuering out which RAM...what video card do I need to look for?  LOL I never knew so much went into this little machine. :-)

No, no. It's the right RAM. Get it.

As for video card, you need to check first, if you have that AGP slot inside your computer, or not.

Now I see -

HP says my computer originally comes with -

"256K/DDR 2100 (1 x 256) up to 64 MB shared video memory "


And Everest says I have now -

"503 MB  (PC3200 DDR SDRAM)"


Gotcha! I now understand!

I have to have RAM that matches what I have now.

So If I wanted to get something different I would need to take out what I have now and install the new one. And whatever I bought later would have to match the new one. ALL in all - the RAM sticks must match! :-)

I am so glad I found this sight and YOU!

Most of the time most guys at work will just "fix" my computer for me and will never show me anything. I am so happy I spent this day doing this!

BUT, I have not taken a shower yet. I am still in my PJs!  


I am going to log off, shut down, and take the computer apart. Look for the slot. Take a shower and log back on later.

I know you are not here just for me, but I did want to let you to know why I would be gone so long, and I did not electricute myself! :-) LOL

I burnt something up in the process of "fixing" my computer.

I took photos of what I burned up, so maybe you can tell me if my computer can be rescued from ME. 

I think I burned up the other memory stick.
