Well I have tried to install the updates several times. It only says that some problem on your computer is not allowing the updates to be installed. Also it keeps asking for the drivers to the chipset when I try to install them off of the disk it cannot not find them. I put the disk in to install them from the disk menu and it will never get to the menu to start the driver install. Says installation failed but does not say why.

That is almost the exact message. I can not find any error codes or anything like that. Is there somewhere I should look that would give more detail?

Ok I went on the microsoft page and found this code under the failed updates. 0x80070005 I googled it and found a page saying that I needed to give the computer premission in the regedit file I followed the instructions and nothing changed. I will try restarting and see what happens.

Go to Start/Run and type in sfc /scannow and hit Enter...
Have your XP CD handy as it will ask for it.
Let it run to completion and re-boot....

Ok,
I have everything done but I cant get the drivers to the board to load. When I start the computer a window pops up and says: found new hardware, intel graphics chipset (kch) driver and promps me to insert my intel disc which I do. Then it says it cannot find ialmkchw.sys and for me to locate it. Upon canceling that one another found new hardware  box pops up. This one says intel(r) graphics platform (softbios) driver. And it is looking for ialmsbw.sys

I have looked on the net and cant find a download for these. Although the ones on my disc should work  ???

Cancel out of each window and let Windows finish loading...then run the setup.exe off of the MBoard driver disk.
It obviously doesn't like the layout but they are all there.
Remember to re-boot.

Still cant get it to work. I went to run and typed in iesetup.exe and it does the same thing. After a little bit it says timed out and thats it. Is there a place where I can download the drivers? I cant understand why it wont let me use the disc when it let me originally when I built the computer.
Thanks

iesetup is for Internet Explorer...you want the driver disk...
Copy and paste the contents of the CD if you can.
It sounds like you are attempting to install something other than the drivers.
Also post exactly what it says on the CD.
