What do you have in subfolders of those folders?

Right click on your iPod drive, click Search, and type in:
            *.mp3
            Click Search.

              OK. I suspect why.
In Windows Explorer, go Tools>Folder Options>View tab.
Put a checkmark into: "Show hidden files and folders".
              Click OK.
              Close Windows Explorer.
Reopen Windows Explorer, and check your iPod drive again.

You can simply select all those F00, F01 folders at once, and copy them to any folder of your choice on your HD. The best way would be to create some new folder, like MP3...

Transfer music to your hard drive, first. Then, open iTunes, and go File>Add file to library
