new antivirus 2008

Dear all,
will you let me know  if there is  new  anti virus 2008 version  availble to be downloaded freelly for using because the AVG and Avast anti virus are not detecting virus properly and many time my computer infected with virus and I formated my computer's windows and reinstalled, eventhough, it is updated regularly from internet.

Avast and AVG even though they are Free should be more than adequate providing they are updated regularly...
I hope you are not running both as this will cause issues.
Select one and ditch the other.

However you need other protection apps that look for more than virii...

DLoad install and run the following:

Spybot Search and Destroy.

AdAware.

AVG Anti-Spyware ( different than AVG AV )

Super Anti-Spyware.

Then visit our Virus and Spyware section after all have been updated and ran and Follow These Guidelines

Sure you can find different free antivirus software.Many companies upgraded their antivirus software to security suites(antivirus antispyware firewall) and left antivirus software free.
