installation problem

Hey I have Windows XP in my laptop and I want to install Windows 98, I created a boot disc but when reboot with boot disc created this show me the promp A:, but when i want to change to promp d: where the windows CD is, this shown a message "Invalid drive specification"

Could somebody help me in how to install the windows 98 in my computer???

Does your Dos boot disk install a cdrom driver?

i make a bootable disc from windows xp

Does your laptop have a floppy diskette drive?
