    « on: February 02, 2008, 11:33:03 AM »
So, i have been playing with wmp for a little while and i decided i really like it for watching videos, it looks the nicest, and it works better than my other ones (itunes lags horribly when playing video, and i hate quicktime just cause im cool like that) but i want to be able to watch my tv shows i bought off of the itunes store from it. is there any codecs i can install taht can do this? thanks for any help

Download and install Quicktime Alternative Lite. I believe that should do the trick.

If you want to be able to play the files in WMP instead of using VLC then try ffdshow.
Install it with the default options the setup suggests, there should be no need to change anything.
(Don't uninstall Quicktime Alternative, you'll still need that.)
Ffdshow should provide you with the codecs WMP need to play the files.

Then, you're stuck with iTunes player - copyright issue.

                  Great line!

                  Download Ffdshow

It's a media player but you don't have to use it, it just comes with codecs that intergrate with other media players without installing loads of different codecs all over the place that you'll never need. Once you've installed it, try to play an MP4 in WMP - it should work (did for me).

                  Good luck

just download k-lite codec pack. it does everything you need to watch your videos. Media Classic player will install if you like to use that player otherwise don't install it and just use WMP.

The MP4's I tested worked for me, but then again, I didn't buy them from iTunes, I downloaded from somebody's website after a little google searching.
